Water Vapor Injection part 2 "The Venturi"

I made this short video so you can see how I made the Venturi and what it looks like installed inside the intake hose. the venturi creates a vacuum that increases with the RPMs of the engine unlike the vacuume on your intake manifold.

How is it going with the testing Helz?

I have not the time yet to make your system in my car, but it sure looks good :-)

It could hvae something to do with the 160 amp high efficientcy alternator I have on as well. my HHO system is set to pull 12vdc/21amps and is producing 1.5LPM. I can crank it up to 40 amps and its about doubles that output put it gets hot so its mostly steam and expanded gas.

I used to have this bias that more than 0.5 LPM HHO can't do you much good. My previous experiments, and those of my friends here, seemed to bear this out. I went as high as 2 LPM, busted a fuse on the way home, and found a much reduced mileage. But in your case now, I'm throwing that bias out the window.

Thanks for the eye-opener, and thanks for sharing. Your results are impressive.

well ive averaged 19 from the day I got the car brand new. my average from work and round trip (60 miles) was 19MPG as well. I put the Volo FS2 and 1.5LPM of HHO at 6MMW and was getting around 24 to 25. I added the water induction and my last 2 tanks of gas I got right at 27. when I first put the funnel in there I only had a 1 1/4" hole and it did choke it. so I went to 1 3/8, still choked at RPMS over 4k, opened it up to 1 1/2 and I can red line it and cant tell its there. I still have plenty of power and still get from 0 to 60 in about 8 ro 9 seconds. Im sure it does mess wth the MAP a bit but it seems to be fine. Im going to try and figure out a fidderent way to get a venturi without restricting airflow. I was thinking of porting into the throttle body right at the butter fly and maybe have a funel in the grill for the air intake of the WVI that works kinda like a hood scoop that works better the fater I go. not sure yet.I may go with a water pump to make it a water injection. I have a little watts to spair for a pump. Im pretty sure this isnt the most efficient way of doing it but its working for the better so far. Ill update when any changes are made.

it uses about 500 mililiters every 150 to 200 miles. I had to fill it twice per tank of gas. and I get about 400 to 420 miles per tank. its a 17 gallon tank. I normally fill up when the gas light comes on. I use to only get around 320 miles per tank.

How is your mileage Fug? Reason I'm wondering is, the funnel should be choking the engine a bit and lowering the MAP pressure, possibly causing a rich condition.
The o2gauge/humidifier looked okay, but how much water would it put in?

I also think that sharing on this site is one of the ways to help our planet. Going in business or not.

I really appreciate your efforts to help us further in our research, Helz!

The best solutions are the simplest ones, and you are one of those genious that can actually find those simple solutions :-)

There is of course many ways to make our planet a better one, but reducing the fossil fuels is the most interesting for me ;-)

Thanks for all this info, Helz. That's what this open source site is here for.

Eventually though, you may have to go into business so that, among other objectives, the HHO campaign will gain ground. You have the makings of an innovator, and I think this will carry you farther ahead than the rest. So too with other innovators here.

That ought to be encouraged. Entrepreneurship can generate more capital for further research, which in turn will improve the technology. Entrepreneurship with a heart can save this planet.

I will spill everything I know, learn, or test to get us unaddicted to oil. Ive lost lots of friends and family to wars over oil. I drive 6 miles round trip to work if that tell you anything about me. I dont need to save gas. I need to feel that im making a difference and helping spread the word on the things that are hidden from the world by the powers that be who gain off oil when there are so many ways we could run our planet with any oil that they know about and keep from us. Be real nice to get a little help from others who feel this way about it.

well My air intake tube tapers out. its about 3.5" where is hooks to the air box and tapers down to 3" at the throttle body. I just cut the OD of the funnel untill it fit snug where I wanted it to be placed. it cant be sucked any farther closer to the throttle body because its so tight in there.

skysabre, I would not use one inlet for both HHO and water vapor for the reason that the HHO has alor of places negitive pressure can be pulled which would lower the negitive pressure in the WVI system. Now I did find a flow meter that had a humidifier on it that would ALSO add water vapor to your HHO air as it passes through the flow meter. I think this thing is awesome. I know the oxy flow meters are not axactly correct with HHO, but they are close and this one would add water vapor to your HHO .

Helz, how did you fix the venturi in place? There would be a fair bit of pressure differential trying to move it.
